We are a quantity surveyor who manages all costs relating to building projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. We seek to minimise the costs of a project and enhance value for money at the same time still achieving the required quality and standards. Many also fullfill the specified building regulations, which the surveyor needs to understand and follow.

We work for either the client or the contractor. The job may also be referred to as a commercial manager or a construction cost consultant.

■ Assisting in establishing requirements of a client’s
